roxana baldovin

Roxana is an in-demand director who has garnered close to a billion views on her videos for stars such as Maluma, Steve Aoki, Saweetie, Wiz Khalifa, Doja Cat, Rico Nasty, HER, Kehlani, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna and Lupe Fiasco, to name a few. Her colorful palette and creative vision have been critically acclaimed, and her video “Tia Tamera” was named top 20 videos of 2019 by Pitchfork. In 2016, she created a Bachelor spoof with Trey Songz for vh1’s Month of Love, titled “Tremaine the Playboy”. Her videos have been played countless times on BET, MTV and vh1. Roxana recently added EPing, producing and commissioning to her filmmaking resume, producing videos for clients as diverse as NFL star Le’veon Bell, 7-piece brass band Lucky Chops and indie Australian artist Young Franco.

Born and raised in an immigrant community in Brooklyn, NYC, Roxana always dreamed of a life on the West Coast. Through the aides of literal inspirations such as On the Road and Scar Tissue, Roxana packed her bags at 17 and headed out to Arizona State University’s prestigious Walter Cronkite School, where she double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Film Studies. While in school, Roxana shot, edited and produced several award-winning short-form documentary pieces, traveling to Brazil, Costa Rica and Mexico for different stories. Once graduated, Roxana moved back to NYC and started directing music videos for local acts The Underachievers and Phony PPL. These music videos were noticed by Atlantic Records … and the rest is history.

Roxana now divides her time between Los Angeles and San Juan but travels all around the world for her craft. She is a born explorer, having been to over 50 countries on 5 continents in her short time on Earth. Roxana speaks fluent Polish, Spanish and Russian and loves to use her linguistic abilities on set as much as possible. She spent the bulk of 2019 working in the Caribbean with major Latin artists like Jon Z, El Mayor, Eladio Carrion, Quimico Ultra Mega, Darkiel and Noriel. Roxana is currently working on creating longer, doc-style content in the Urban Latin scene, as well as getting her feet wet in narrative content. She just finished her first short film and is eager to show the world what else she has up her sleeve. It’s just the beginning for Senora Directora.
